Special Olympics provides
year-round sports training and
athletic competition in a variety of
Olympic-type sports for children
and adults with intellectual
disabilities, giving them continuing
opportunities to develop physical
fitness, demonstrate courage,
experience joy and participate in
the sharing of gifts, skills and
friendship with their families,
other Special Olympics athletes
and the community.

Special Olympics Leon County (SOLC) does not charge athletes or
their parents any fees to participate in the program. SOLC
presently offers opportunities to more than 300 children and
adults with intellectual disabilities and is working to expand sports
and social opportunities to reach 425 athletes by 2009. We need
your help to reach our goal!

Sponsorship Opportunities

Special Olympics Leon County is planning our
inaugural Pre-Independence Day Gala, featuring
Guest Speaker Lester Oliver, US Army Retired. We
will also have a Silent Auction, to be held June 28,
2008 at the Elks Lodge, 276 N. Magnolia Drive,
from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. In addition, two
long-time athletes of the program will be inducted
into the Special Olympics Leon County Hall of Fame.

SOLC as a sponsor for the Gala on June 28th. Being a sponsor
offers your business an opportunity to reach out to new
audiences you may not otherwise reach. Your business will be
identified as a company that truly cares about the communities in

joyful future in the name of Tallahassee-Leon County.

our Souvenir Program and/or buying tickets for a table of 8. If
